Custom Software: SaaS platforms and internal tools built to scale
Custom software is what you build when off-the-shelf tools start dictating how your business runs. It is the right call when your workflow is your advantage — and the wrong call when a configured SaaS product would do the job for a tenth of the price. We will tell you which situation you are in before we quote.

Build, buy, or configure
Most requests for custom software are really requests for an integration layer. If your pain is that three systems do not talk to each other, automation and a thin dashboard usually beat a rewrite. Build custom when the process itself is proprietary, when compliance forces data to stay inside your boundary, or when per-seat licensing has crossed the cost of ownership.
Architecture that ages well
We default to boring, well-supported choices: a relational database with row-level security, a typed API layer, and a React front end. Multi-tenancy, audit trails and role-based access are designed in at the schema level on day one, because retrofitting them is the single most expensive rewrite we see.
Every module ships behind a feature flag so you can release to one team before the whole company.
- Row-level security and role-based permissions from the first migration
- Audit logging on every state change
- Typed API contracts shared between server and client
- Automated backups, staging environment, CI/CD
How we run the engagement
Two-week sprints with a working demo at the end of each. You get access to the staging environment from week one, so feedback lands while it is still cheap. Scope changes are handled as trades rather than surprises: something in, something out, or a written change order.
After launch
Software that nobody maintains starts decaying in months. Every build includes a support window, and most clients continue on a retainer covering dependency updates, monitoring, incident response and a monthly feature allocation. You own the code and the infrastructure accounts throughout.

Custom Software FAQs
Do we own the code?
Completely. Everything is pushed to your GitHub organisation from day one.
Can you take over an existing codebase?
Yes — we start with a paid audit, then a stabilisation sprint.
